CCK-related peptides stimulation of the Na+/H+ antiport in pancreatic acinar cells leads to cytoplasmic alkalinisation.

چکیده
Caerulein, gastrin and pentagastrin stimulation of the Na+/H+ exchange leads to intracellular alkalinisation in pancreatic acinar cells. Activation of protein kinase-C is the more probable mechanism involved in the effect of caerulein.

Auto-antibodies in Patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease Unclassified
Background: Inflammatory bowel disease unclassified (IBDU) is considered to be an aberrant immune response with loss of tolerance to many antigens. Objective: This paper tries to address whether there is any value to test for auto-antibodies in such patients. Methods: 60 patients with inflammatory bowel disease unclassified participated in the study. Auto-antibodies to nuclear antigen, intestin...
متن کاملCholecystokinin-58 and cholecystokinin-8 exhibit similar actions on calcium signaling, zymogen secretion, and cell fate in murine pancreatic acinar cells.
The gastrointestinal hormone CCK exists in various molecular forms, with differences in bioactivity between the well-characterized CCK-8 and larger CCK-58 previously reported. We have compared the effects of these peptides on cytosolic calcium concentration ([Ca(2+)](c)), mitochondrial metabolism, enzyme secretion, and cell fate in murine isolated pancreatic acinar cells using fluorescence conf...
متن کاملGlucocorticoids increase cholecystokinin receptors and amylase secretion in pancreatic acinar AR42J cells.
We recently reported in AR42J pancreatic acinar cells that glucocorticoids increased the synthesis, cell content, and mRNA levels for amylase (Logsdon, C.D., Moessner, A., Williams, J.A., and Goldfine, I.D. (1985) J. Cell Biol. 100, 1200-1208). In addition, in these cells glucocorticoids increased the volume density of secretory granules and rough endoplasmic reticulum. In the present study we ...
متن کاملCholecystokinin activates PYK2/CAKbeta by a phospholipase C-dependent mechanism and its association with the mitogen-activated protein kinase signaling pathway in pancreatic acinar cells.
PYK2/CAKbeta is a recently described cytoplasmic tyrosine kinase related to p125 focal adhesion kinase (p125(FAK)) that can be activated by a number of stimuli including growth factors, lipids, and some G protein-coupled receptors. Studies suggest PYK2/CAKbeta may be important for coupling various G protein-coupled receptors to the mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) cascade. The hormone ne...
متن کاملAction of cholecystokinin and cholinergic agents on calcium transport in isolated pancreatic acinar cells.
COOH-terminal octapeptide of cholecystokinin (CCK-octapeptide) and the cholinergic agent carbamylcholine each produced a fourfold stimulation of calcium outflux in guinea pig isolated pancreatic acinar cells. Neither agent altered calcium influx. Stimulation of calcium outflux was rapid and specific, was abolished by reducing the incubation temperature to 4 degrees C, and was a saturable functi...
